The Breastfeeding How To application (app) that you’re about to use is
intended for use by pregnant women and their support people within the
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD). This app was
developed by Vulsen Pty. Ltd and it is part of a clinical improvement
initiative funded by a NSW Health Strategy Reserve Innovation Grant
and has been supported by the NBMLHD. Using this application is
entirely voluntary and it will serve as a platform for you to learn
more about breastfeeding your baby.
The application collects generalised anonymous data including:
- Your/your partner's weeks of pregnancy. This is to ensure that you
are recommended videos that are ideal with your/your partner's weeks
of pregnancy.
- Anonymous app usage data. This is to determine which videos are
watched and if the videos are a reasonable length of time.
No personal data is collected.
The data stored within the cloud-based server is made accessible only
to NBMLHD, Dr Jeni Stevens (the application Innovator and Director)
and Vulsen. By using this app you agree and give permission for
NBMLHD, Dr Stevens and Vulsen to act as the data custodians and to
collect the data noted above, and for NBMLHD, Western Sydney
University and Dr Stevens to be able to analyse and share the data in
presentations and publications.
